As I type this, it’s snowing outside. I’ve lost count of how many snowstorms have come through this winter, but the last patches of snow were finally melting when I got up this morning, and now a new layer of snow is fast turning the ground white again.
I’m not going to post a photo of the snow. Instead, I’m searching my photo files for flowers. I need spring to get here, and looking at pictures of flowers is the next best thing. I call these Emergency Flowers.
I found these in Ireland, in a little village called Cashel. Recently I found out that my great-great grandfather came from Ireland. He named his son “Beloved”, which might explain why my father was named “Darling”. (Yes, I’ve been snowbound so many days I’ve been bored enough to do some ancestry research. I blame Winter.) Perfect ancestors for a romance writer, don’t you think?
Enjoy the flowers. I’m going to try to get some writing done. It’s not like I’m going anywhere.
